Tactical to Practical
At HCI, we can advise you on how to enhance your security service and develop new avenues for a more profitable security business. We also provide up to date up to the minute training for self defense,firearms,driving,rescue and recovery of executive personnel or family members from hostile or non U.S. friendly environments. When we say from tactical to practical we mean just that! We take the most recent lessons learned from our operators that are currently "DOWN RANGE" and apply them to our consulting and teaching curriculum.
Weekly debriefs with our operators ensure that the most recent down range combat effective techniques are being used and passed on to you by our staff.
HCI is composed of ONLY current operators with real world high threat P.S.D. / Special Operations Forces (S.O.F.) combat backgrounds. We insist that all of our staff have multiple combat or high threat P.S.D. tours. HCI offers rifle,pistol and self defense combat courses to IC's / active and reserve military personnel, law enforcement officers and U.S. government agency personnel.
Hoplite
The hoplite was a heavy infantryman that was the central focus of warfare in Ancient Greece. The word hoplite (Greek ὁπλίτης, hoplitēs) derives from hoplon (ὅπλον, plural hopla, ὅπλα) meaning an item of armour or equipment and consequently the entire equipment of the hoplite (but not specifically the circular shield, which is sometimes incorrectly referred to as a hoplon, though it was in fact called an aspis). These soldiers probably first appeared in the late seventh century BC. They were a citizen-militia, and so were armed as spearmen, and assumed a phalanx formation, which are relatively easy to equip and maintain; they were primarily drawn from the middle class, who could afford the cost of the armaments. Almost all the famous men of ancient Greece, even philosophers and playwrights fought as hoplites at some point in their lives.
